One Year on the Road

We had a rather nippy picnic on the boardwalk.

There were lots of seagulls.

They were eyeing our lunch.

They waited patiently.

Until Kate broke down.

Then they all descended.

They would take food right from her hand.

I was a little more intimidated.

After lunch, we walked down onto the beach.

The rocks on the beach have interesting formations.

Waves and water have created holes in the rocks.

And green moss was growing.

Very different from the flat, empty beaches at Daytona and Ormond.

I loved the moss.

Again, no one else was there.

Beth got out her camera to take photos.

Her favorite model is &quot;Little Bear.&quot;

She takes photos of him everywhere she goes.

She took all these for her Little Bear blog.

It was tricky to get a shot of Little Bear and a wave without getting him wet.

It was worth it for this shot.
