One Year on the Road

Sandy and Neal.

Their younger daughter, Adri.

Adri&#039;s older son, Dylan.

Adri&#039;s younger son, Evan.

Sandy and Neal raised their daughters in this century old farmhouse.

There was plenty of room for both Bessie and their 34-foot RV.

We spent a lot of time on this beautiful deck.

Their dog, Marco, was smitten with Gypsy.

Their cat, Sam, didn&#039;t care for either Gypsy or Bailey.

Adri took us for a walk on St. Joseph pier.

It was a gorgeous day.

Sandy and Neal made steak and shrimp kabobs for dinner.

We had cherry pie we&#039;d brought from a farm market.

Adri&#039;s not a big cat lover, but she kind of loved Gypsy.

So did her boys.

Gypsy was the object of much affection.

Evan.

Dylan.

Marco was intently focused on Gypsy.

But he was very sweet with her.

Gypsy wasn&#039;t afraid at all.

The were soon good friends.

Both the boys were so good with her, and Bailey, too.

Marco watches over Gypsy while she naps.

He wouldn&#039;t leave her side and growled if Bailey came too close.

A little wake-up kiss.

Since the deck area was fenced, Gypsy got to roam free.

She really liked being a free cat.

After dinner, Kate and I took a quick dip to cool off.

What a perfectly wonderful place to hang out.
