While Beth and Don were in Daytona Beach, we stayed in nearby Ormond. One day we drove onto the beach for a picnic.

Beth and Don had their first ride in Bessie up to Ormond Beach.

We got settled in our site.

We were backed onto a Florida jungle.

We took Bailey and Gypsy out for a walk.

Gypsy met a lab puppy.

Sometimes she prefers a lift.

Palm trees are hard to resist.

Bailey liked the playground.

You can drive on Ormond Beach.

Slowly and in lanes.

Gypsy thought this was a little crazy.

She goes to her dog to feel safe.

We could park right on the beach.

Fisherman and bird.

Beth took Bailey for a run.

They were both happy to be on the beach.

Not many people on the beach this crisp day.

Gypsy stalks some beach birds.

Both pets were happy to hang out in the sand.

Bailey doesn't seem to mind sand in her nose.

We set up a table and had a picnic.

We hung out for the afternoon.

Gypsy sent into the car for her nap.

Bundled up against the wind, Beth looked like Edie in "Grey Gardens."

She did a little Edie channeling.

Pied pipers of seagulls.

We decided to do a little birdfeeding ourselves.

They flocked right to us.

So beautiful against the blue sky.

Then there are the birds on the ground.

Beth got this shot of me and the birds.

One last walk on the beach.

Water for the pets.

Back at the campground, Beth and I played some tennis.

But Beth was on tennis leagues for years.

She has no excuse!

Next it was miniature golf.

So close!

A good one!

The well ate my ball.

Dinner in Bessie.

Beth gets a visit from Gypsy.

But her favorite place in the world is right here.
