Two women, their golden retriever, and an orphaned kitten hit the road in an RV for one year of "pretirement"

After a scary tornado warning, we enjoyed this beautiful park and our site by a lake.

Maplewood is a huge drive-through state park, especially popular in the fall.

We nabbed this large, fairly private site right on one of the smaller lakes.

We had just plugged in, when tornado alerts on our phones told us to take cover.

We stayed there for two hours with eight people, two dogs, and our kitten.

Afterwards, only a few remnants of serious clouds.

The clouds gave way to blue sky.

The scary storm ended with a beautiful sunset.

The only loon I saw in Minnesotal, although I heard several.

The next day I worked, so we hung out around the site.

I did get Bailey out for a walk before the bugs attached us.

Kate is blissed out with our little Gypsy.

At the end of the day, I took a bike ride on the beautiful state park roads.
