One Year on the Road

The play was at the Performing Arts Center in Downtown Tulsa.

We had perfect seats.

A fuzzy intermission portrait.

Ford about to take his bow.

Dad was so proud of Ford.

And Ford seemed pleased to have Dad there.

Sharon, Ford&#039;s grandma -- in and out of the show.

She did a great job.

After the play we raced three blocks to the Woodie Guthrie Green.

There was an outdoor concert.

David Amram&#039;s set was over, but he was jamming with another group.

He played a little drum.

And a little penny whistle.

As soon as he started off the stage, Dad went up and introduced himself.

Dad gave David a copy of his book. David gave Dad a CD.

They talked for a few minutes about working together in 1964.

What a serendipitous meeting.

Dad went to dinner with Sharon and her family. We stayed for another set.

We got a bite to eat in the park cafe.

Then sat on the lawn.

I hated having to say goodbye to my sister.
