One Year on the Road

Bailey and Gypsy settle in for the drive to Palm Beach.

They get good and comfortable.

Until it starts to rain.

Gypsy is tormented by the wipers.

Her antics are a bit distracting for the driver.

It stopped raining when we got to Palm Beach.

We got this great lakeside site in John Prince Park.

Water fowl kept Gypsy occupied.

She wanted a duck.

Waited patiently for hours.

&quot;Ah, forget it.&quot;

Kate found this big snail shell.

Our old friend, Janet, took us out to the Old Key Lime House for dinner.

It&#039;s a fun place on the water.

We watched the sunset.

That&#039;s some big-screen!

The next morning, I got up before dawn.

Another pretty sunrise.

Janet drove over over the drawbridge into Del Rey Beach.

A bit of traffic on this Saturday in Del Rey.

There was a Garlic Festival!

But we just walked and window shopped.

Janet bought Girl Scout cookies.

Just walking along...

We walked into Janet&#039;s favorite old hotel downtown.

Yoga in a yellow room.

So good to see Janet again.

We drove by Oprah Winfrey&#039;s house. (The limo suggests she might be home.)

And the trailer park hold-outs who passed up a buy-out of a million per trailer.

Back in the campground.

We set out chairs to entertain Kate&#039;s family.

I went for a long bike ride around the lake.

Picnicker feeding storks.

Park across the water.

Kate&#039;s cousin Scott and his family.

Scott&#039;s son and grandson tried a little fishing before dinner.

Gypsy discovers yet another cozy spot.

But her favorite spot is right here.

Nothing better than a warm dog.
