One Year on the Road

We camped in the driveway.

It was a little bit of a tight fit.

And we were right up against the jungle.

Corrine walked us out to the river.

They have a nice beach there, with a screened room, boats and a dock.

We walked out on the dock.

Kate and Corinne were such good friends at work.

Gypsy checks out the place.

And climbs treees, of course.

The walk back to the house.

We walked through the neighborhood to the ocean beach.

Fun with mailboxes.

Flamingos are a popular theme.

And mailboxes are the best canvas.

We walked to the beach, where the others were fishing.

Tom thinks it&#039;s a little crazy to fish in the pouring rain.

But his wife, Kathy, was determined to do it.

And Alex really wanted to give it a try.

Bailey was just happy to be at the beach.

The rest of us watched.

Corrine stayed under the umbrella.

Tom coaches Kathy.

I loved Tom&#039;s beach professor look.

Eric caught one!!!

We&#039;re all getting crazy wet.

But at least it&#039;s warm.

Even I took a try.

The only thing I caught was Eric&#039;s line.

Kathy kept trying, but didn&#039;t catch one.

But, hey, we got one to eat!

The next morning, Gypsy kept busy watching a cardinal in the tree.

She wanted it.

Rain or not, we went for a walk.

Through the neighborhood.

Past more cute mailboxes.

Past a fisherman on a dock.

To a wildlife preserve.

It has miles of trails for walking.

Lots of waterways.

Kathy and her pups.

Three wet mops.

Corrine admires the ferms growing on the tree trunk.

They are quite beautiful.

We had to tromp through muck and water.

A palm jungle.

At last on solid ground.

Back through the neighborhood.

All the yards are so lush.

And filled with interesting plants.

It really feels like the tropics.

Corrine drove with us up to the campground, where we&#039;d stay two more nights.
