One Year on the Road

We&#039;re in Daytona Beach!

It was a bright, cold day.

We met Beth and Don in old downtown.

Lunch at a the Zen Bistro Thai restaurant.

We went on a tour of the Angell &amp; Phelps chocolate factory.

We had hoped it would be like this famous Lucy episode.

It was much calmer though.

Just a handful of factory workers.

The owner was working, too.

Chocolate covered bacon?

Chocolate eggs??

We got free samples at the end.

Our tour guide, Nick, was adorable and funny.

An old department store.

Now it&#039;s an antique store.

Even those not afraid of clowns would find this one scary.

Funny how toys we grew up with are considered antiques.

Kate admitted to having this very poodle as a kid.

Beth fits right in with the wigs.

We met this man washing windows to his nativity displays.

Bill Egan has been collecting nativity sets for years.

He was very proud of all of his displays.

Next we went down to the pier.

Even the Fun Center was quiet.

Beth was compelled to perform on the empty stage.

She sang &quot;Teddy Bears on Parade.&quot;

Sand is taking over the stairs.

Soon they won&#039;t need stairs at all.

One night we went to the top of this place for Happy Hour.

It was a fancy restaurant.

We had drinks in the bar.

It was fun to take in the view.
