Five days in Austin with our goddaughter, Aly. We stayed at McKinney Falls State Park, just south of town.

Perfect hammock trees in our site.

You have to wade across slippery rocks to get to the beach.

You can see some in the sky.

There are literally thousands of them.

We went to the HopDoddy Burger Bar for dinner.

The next night, Kate and I went to Home Slice Pizza.

Then to the Continental Club.

It's a well known old bar.

We watched the Peterson Brothers perform.

They're teenagers but really good.

The next day was cloudy but I took a bike ride.

No one at the falls now.

Too cool for swimming.

We drove to Lockhart, south of Austin.

We took Aly to Smitty's BBQ, an unassuming place.

The entrance is a little strange.

You order your meat by the pound in the back.

You get it on butcher paper with white bread.

Order your sides and drinks here.

Then chow down!

Firewood for the BBQ fire fills a whole lot!

In the movie, these stair's went to Corey's apartment.

We walked up and down South Congress Ave.

There are some really fun shops here.

I'm still for Bernie, but Willie's cool, too.
