We drove through tulip and daffodil farms on the way from Whidbey Island back to Seattle.

No dogs allowed, though.

We heated up leftover Thai food for lunch in a rest stop.

Kate stayed with Bailey and got this shot of hyacinths in the parking lot.

I drove Bessie across this bridge an hour after getting her.

Desolation Bridge is rather famous.

It shakes when semis go by, inches from the wires that are supposed to keep pedestrians safe.

The views from the bridge are quite spectacular, though.

It was dark and raining and I was rather terrified.

Many more flowers to view in Skagit Valley.

The daffodils were in full bloom.

Crocuses, too.

I paid the $5 to go into the garden.

There were hyacinths in the garden, too.

Some garden decorations...

But mostly, it was the fields of daffodils that drew me.

With Mount Baker in the background.

But you don't have to pay to see the daffodils.
